It took about two minutes to find some enablers. After her exam Monday we’re going out drinking—score! Then my phone wouldn’t stop ringing: The Iowan, it seems, has an extreme need for company and an extreme disdain for money. The resulting arrangement is thusly established: he calls and wants to go out. I say I’m tired and don’t feel like it (not untrue at all). He counters by offering to pay. I ask where he wants to meet. A beautiful arrangement, resulting tonight in a corona and Lion Burger.
