Peep:
Yes, this is the room I've left for maybe two hours out of the last 30. Note: on the floor, from right to left: a gutted box of wine and clothing, a stack of papers, a backpack (full of books and papers), two books, four PhD dissertations on Culture Shock and Third Culture Phenomenon, and two more books. On the desk, from left to right: an open book, computer (Microsoft Word and Winamp open), a tipping-full glass of wine, and more papers. This is what I've sacrificed 10 months of my life to, and I didn't stage this photograph one bit- I just stood on the bed and took it. It also shows my new heater vs. my old one-- this new one RULEZ in comparison.Didn't go outside today-- just read, wrote, fiddled, read more, researched, wrote a couple more times, took a nap, etc. I learned about what a bullshit and arbitrary concept "mental illness" is, and how culturally dependent-- things which make one a fine, upstanding citizen in Vietnam are the same things which make one "depressed" and "maladjusted" and "mentally ill" in the U.S.
Also, a drinking day. Apparently, my "glasses" have become very liberal measurements, as I've finished 4 liters of wine, all on my own, in 5 days.
Drink Count: 7

Ahh...my little brother all growed up...
It looks like a professional room. Mostly stuff other people aren't interested in and a few things to make work more comfortable, wine included.
Also, when you get back, I've got some smashing good Grog for us to drink from Cape Verde. I saved it for you.
