Suck it, Jesus!

Apparently, you're not allowed to make fun of Jesus.

If you do, you're anti-Catholic. I guess. This jackass from the Catholic League got on the TV and said Kathy Griffin's remark ('no one had less to do with this award than Jesus') was just as bad, if not worse, than Kramer and Imus' racial remarks. Apparently, painting everyone in an entire racial group with negative stereotypes isn't as bad as teasing a 2,000 year old dead guy. And she wasn't even really ripping on Jesus, or religion!! She was making fun of people who invoke Jesus for ridiculous reasons, as if Our White Lord and Savior really prefers one football team over another and that's why they won the Super Bowl.

Proof that Hollywood is anti-Catholic? That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard. Not to mention that Jesus isn't exclusive to Catholicism, or Christianity. How is that joke any more offensive to Catholics than Protestants? Jews think he was a cool dude too (and they do run Hollywood, right??) as do Muslims. That's like me claiming a joke about art is purely 'anti-literature'. Jesus already died for your sins, sir, get off the fucking cross already.

Insert any other historical figure-- "Suck it, Shakespeare, Rasputin, Nefertiti"-- and you have nothing inflammatory. Why is Jesus off limits? The one valid point I was waiting for him to make was that had she said "Suck it, Mohammed", that would have been unacceptable. Fair play-- we as a society do have a little 'thing' going on with Mohammed that we need to figure out. But had she said "Suck it, Buddha", would someone from the Buddhist League gone on TV to say that teasing a fat man from long ago is even worse than racism?

Just for the record, Jesus can eat the corn out of my crap, get hit by a bus, then have his face set on fire. Is that "anti-Catholic" enough for you, dude, or does he need to get sodomized by gorillas while blowing an eskimo first? He's the son of God, for fuck's sake-- does he really need some prick on E! to defend him?
