Album of the day: Bright Eyes - Cassadaga (I'm enjoying it, but I think it'll take a while to fully appreciate. Conor has proven once again that he can write like a mother fucker on fire, as well as arrange and sing, two things he hasn't always done in the past. The lyricism is less visceral than, say, Fevers and Mirrors, but it's well thought out and quite intense. Buy it. Or download it and go see him on tour, I don't care which.)
Another quiet day around the farm-- had a duel of words with Nonce over an Artist's Statement that I didn't want to write. But since they forced me to, I came up with this. Then I went to the library and actually got something done, as well as finishing up A Confederacy of Dunces. I don't know what's next-- The Sound And The Fury or the script for Chinatown. I got invited by the illustrious David to participate in an Economics experiment tomorrow that will net me $20 up front, and a possibility of $80 more if I do well enough on whatever tasks I'm given. I don't care if I have to scrape a horse's colon clean-- my first income in 2 months is going to be welcome. I've been thinking about selling my body to science to supplement this paltry writing "income". No drinks. Finished the wine last night and couldn't be bothered to buy more today.

Lauren and I. It's not "new" but it's new to you, so deal with it. New pictures were taken yesterday by Martina but I haven't received copies, neither have I received anything from that wild night at the Oxford. I found some pictures today that would make certain people shit a ton of bricks, but I can wait on that. What I must figure out next is how to post music on this page. Anyone who knows how, throw me a line.
