Lyric of the day:
"She said 'No one is alone the way you are alone'
And you held her looser than you would’ve if you ever could've known.
Some things tie your life together
With slender threads of things to treasure
Days like that should last and last and last."
--Dashboard Confessional, Dusk And Summer
I and the other Easter orphans took the bus out to the middle of nowhere to attend a 'sucks you're alone' breakfast compliments of Lauren's young squire, David. Ladies, let me tell you one thing: he's the ultimate man. Far better than I or anyone else I know. Not only did homeboy invite us over and feed us a lovely spread of fresh fruits, croissants and pancakes-- he set up a treasure hunt for us! He went down earlier in the day to the rose gardens around the Waite campus and set up a series of clues on scraps of paper hidden around the gardens. At the end of the maze was a massive pile of chocolates that were ours to keep. Not only that, he tailored the clues to us orphans, including one in French for Roman's sake, one math formula for the British guest-lecturer and one comparing the size of the US to Canada for the Mattanya kids. It was the absolute cutest thing in the world, and a bunch of people aged 19-38 solved the mysteries and sat in the gardens eating our prize. I wanted to hug the boy myself for being so damn thoughtful. I know it sounds stupid, but it was really excellent. Erin said he's a catch and a half-- I said fuck that, he's at least two and a quarter, maybe more.
Had one glass of wine around the house, but it wasn't doing anything for me so I quit. I made a chicken schnitzel for dinner that was barely halfway decent and went to take a look at Megan's broken computer (again!). While there I finished off what was left of the vodka (not bloody much) then came home to soak, read, hopefully write, and definitely sleep.

You don't just get a picture today, you get a video. As it was explained to me: "This video will not make your day. It will make your life."

Sucks you're alone.
Your Papa Bear makes us happy we're alive. Me might have watched this video a dangerous amount of times. How can you not?
