4/15 The Aristocats... shit!

Vonnegut quote of the day: "For some reason, the most vocal Christians among us never mention the Beatitudes. But, often with tears in their eyes, they demand that the Ten Commandments be posted in public buildings. And of course that's Moses, not Jesus. I haven't heard one of them demand that the Sermon on the Mount, the Beatitudes, be posted anywhere. "Blessed are the merciful" in a courtroom? "Blessed are the peacemakers" in the Pentagon? Give me a break!"

Lyric of the day: "The Bible's blind, the Torah's deaf, the Koran is mute. If you burned them all together you'd get close to the truth." --Bright Eyes, Four Winds

Blog of the day: Spud Blog (Hilarious!)

I slept until almost 1:00 and wrote a little this afternoon, then watched The Aristocrats-- one of the filthiest yet funniest movies ever made-- with Martina and Colleen. Martina appreciated it. I wish I could say the same for Colleen. But in her defense, listening to Gilbert Godfried talk about fist-fucking a young girl with a Popeye arm, or Bob Saget mention throwing a used tampon against a window isn't for the faint of heart. I laughed my ass off though, I love that movie. I finished A Man Without A Country today and got started on The Sirens of Titan. This Vonnegut kick is going remarkably well. I drank a whole lot of wine today too-- well on my way to breaking speed records with these two boxes. Had a really nice dinner of shrimp, pasta, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, portabello mushrooms and cucumbers. Yum! Then it was a debate with Lauren about morality in government, and off to my room for a little writing, a lot of water, some corn flakes, and a little music before bed. First week off went beautifully-- here's to hoping for a second one.

Drink Count: 9

Robble pictures, since I got some new ones today. This dog is getting right massive:

P.S. How evil does this cat look?
