4/25 ANZAC Day

Quote of the day: "I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train."--Oscar Wilde

Web Comic of the day: take that, san francisco!

Today was not day 4 of sobriety. I went to the ANZAC Day parade which was about as somber and dutiful and silly as any parade of veterans ever is, though I suppose it's the one day a year people actually come out and say "hey, you got shot at, slept in mud and shit and piss and a lot of you had no choice (not like those uppity veterans of Iraq) so, you know, thanks for that." I wrote a little about it, but it was too offensively satirical and I'll likely never be able to read it. However, for whatever reason, Phillip brought a bottle of champagne and a bottle of wine into class and we sat around and drank and talked about writing, which was nice, but ruined my streak. Oh well, this would be a shitty blog centered on drinking if I quit entirely.

Got some good ideas, got a tummy ache, took two naps, etc. etc.. The lofty goal for tomorrow is at least 4 hours of writing. Wish me luck.
