3/27 I am in love...

Line of the day: "You can’t wear your heart on your sleeve when you’ve lost your shirt." --Spin Doctors

Oh yes, I've discovered true and undying devotion in the form of Pocky-- the most wonderfully delicious treat you could ever imagine. The Japanese don't fuck around when it comes to snack time. They are sweet little bread sticks dipped in chocolate (or various other things, the internet informs me) and sold in boxes of 25 or so. No shit, I almost just went around the corner to buy a case and eat it for dinner. They were in my Japanese lolly bag from Rohan's party and I never bothered to try them until tonight. And they're GOOD. Apparently they go by a different name in the states and can be found in Asian markets or the "international" section of major grocery stores. They may go under the name Mikado too; moral is: find some. Eat them. Thank me later.

Took a well needed day off from the drinky drinky. Instead I drank a carton of orange juice with my ham, egg and cheese sandwich. Before long it will be chicken nugget time. Had to go to the library in order to get anything done today; sitting around at home was not cutting it, and the wine was menacing me. Started a new piece about my impressions of Rotterdam, but no way in hell will it be ready to present tomorrow. Such is life.

Drink Count: 0

Two of my favorite animals (aren't they getting, like, sooooo big??):

Pocky rules! They have sooooo many kinds over here in Japan. My favorite are the ones for Men, as the box says. It`s dark chocolate and has a green box, I`ll try to take a photo later.
