8/2 I brok3d my heatz0rz...

Some music business first:

Worst 'Greatest Hits' Ever: Bush's Greatest Hits 1994-1999. Not only is this pre-Golden State with all the good songs that spawned, this 2-disc, 2-and-a-damn-half-hour monstrosity features about 10 whole songs... then some remixes of those same songs... then live versions of those same songs. About as useless as throwing turds into a cloning machine...

Concept Album Of The Day: Drive-By Truckers - A Southern Rock Opera. This excellent and interesting album covers the rise and fall of Lynyrd Skynyrd with some interesting tangents to explore 'The Southern Thing'.

EP of the day: Atmosphere - Sad Clown Bad Summer With Piano Accompaniment. Though I am a recent convert to the camp of Ant & Slug, these cats can fucking rap, and still maintain a social conscience. Word.

Tommorow I'll share some awesome music videos, but first... I totally broke my heater. I don't know what I did, but Alyson is going to be pissed, and she better not expect me to pay for that shit. Yeah, sure, I covered up the 'DO NOT COVER' vent with my laundry about a thousand times, but still... she doesn't know that, and I'm guessing she can't read too good, so she'll never find out.

I tried to write, but my consummate anger at the dumbest mother fucker on earth, who also happens to be in my program, derailed those attempts. I did manage to finish one poem and come up with a rudimentary plan for tackling this novel excerpt, as well as some much needed housework, and time spent on Ulysses and a new collection of Fitzgerald stories.

Drink Count: 7

Worst Album Cover Of All Time #17If trees could talk, the only thing I can imagine them saying is "Keep that creepy fucker away from us! And put on something besides a white dress if you're going to be hand-fucking a painted chunk of our cousin Ricky-- it's just not right!" Also: "Are you kneeling on a sheet of corrugated tin?? What's up with that? Way to get behind nature, lady."
