8/26 Son-In-Law Part III: Wherein Pauley Shores continues to suck, and the movie ends

Sleeping so bad on the farm for some reason. I was hoping to bounce after breakfast, but Amanda wanted to finish an assignment so I settled in to read. Then Papa Bear offered to take me for a 'quick' drive to see a special view, which was actually very cool-- we drove up the far end of this range of hills where farming country turns to NOTHING. Again, no pictures of my own, but imagine this:for about 2.5 million square miles. Lonely, desolate, empty, dead. A homestead (inhabited) roughly every 60-80 miles. The interior of Australia has the population of Wyoming spread out across an area 3/4 the size of the Continental US. I can appreciate Australian writers a lot better having seen that view. Then we went to 'town' (pop. 70) for a lunch of beer and Papa Bear decides we should go kangaroo spotting. 3 hours, no 'roos, and a migraine later we returned to the farm and Amanda and I faced the 2 hour drive back to Adelaide. So tired, no dinner, just water and laying down.

Drink Count: 2
