5/1 The Tuesday Of

The masterclass was both an adventure and kind of a bust. The highlight was when Judith Rodriguez, author of 10 collections of poetry and former Poetry Series Editor for Penguin handed my two poems back with some nice handwritten notes and told me if I had a lot more where that came from, I should start thinking about putting together a collection and sending it to publishing companies. She offered to comment on another poem or two if we wished, so I'll send those off next week and ask for suggestions on publishing companies who might take a chance on a young lad like me.

I also passed my house inspection, just barely, because my room needed to be vacuumed. That lady can eat a dick-- I'm renting this house fair and square and they'll get it back in the same condition it was given, so it's no one's fucking business but my own if my floor is dusty.

Started yet another story and still haven't managed to finish one of the 5 I have in progress, but this new idea I understand on a very visceral level (it's called The Old Cartoon Writer) so the first 1,500 words and most of the plot came out very quickly. Hopefully, it and one other story will be done by next week.
